OMG HI THERE!!! Welcome 2 my personal gaming shrine! I'm Blitz, ur average hardcore gamer from the Midwest who lives & breathes SPEEDRUNNING, ARCADE MACHINES, & PIZZA. This page took me like 3 weeks 2 build (I kept procrastinating lol) but I'm SO PROUD OF IT NOW!

I got into speedrunning about 2 years ago when I was watching some dude on GameTrailers do a Sonic 1 run in like 16 minutes & I was like "WAIT WHAT?? That's insane!!" From that moment on, I was HOOKED. Now I spend like 4-5 hours a day practicing my runs, learning new techniques, & trying 2 beat my personal records. There's something SO SATISFYING about shaving off even 2 seconds from ur time - it's like pure adrenaline!!!

My main games are:

• Sonic the Hedgehog 1 - This is my MAIN. I've been grinding this 4 months & my current PB is 15:32. I know the level layouts like the back of my hand lol
• Super Mario 64 - 120 star speedruns r insane but so much fun. Currently at 2:45:18 & working on getting under 2:45
• Final Fantasy VII - Any% speedruns r BRUTAL but I love the challenge. Glitch abuse is crazy in this game
• Street Fighter II - Fighting game speedruns r underrated tbh

But honestly, what got me into speedrunning was probably my obsession with ARCADE CABINETS. I was like 8 years old when my local pizza place got a Galaga machine & I was MESMERIZED. I'd spend my allowance on quarters just 2 try 2 beat my high score. That's where my love 4 classic gaming comes from! Now I have like 3 arcade cabinets in my garage (Galaga, Pac-Man, & a broken Street Fighter II that I'm fixing up) & I'm constantly hunting 4 more at pawn shops & estate sales. There's nothing like the FEEL of an old arcade joystick, u know??

And PIZZA... omg pizza is basically my 4th love after speedrunning, arcades, & gaming in general lol. I've tried pizza from like 20 different places in my area & I'm working on a DEFINITIVE RANKING (check the Pizza section!!). There's something about eating hot pizza while grinding speedrun attempts that just hits different. My personal record is finishing a large pepperoni w/ extra cheese in like 12 minutes while practicing Sonic. Multitasking!!!

These are my official personal bests!!! I'm constantly trying 2 beat these times. Each run takes SO MUCH FOCUS & PRACTICE. One tiny mistake & ur run is basically over. That's what makes speedrunning so addictive!

SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 1 (Genesis)

PB: 0:15:32 | Attempt #427 | Route: Any% Spring Yard Skip

This is my BABY. I've practiced this game so much that I can pretty much run it with my eyes closed lol. The trick is nailing the Spring Yard zone skip - if u get it right, u can save like 45 seconds. My run had like 2 small mistakes but the route execution was CLEAN. Next goal: sub 15:00!!! That would be SO SICK.

SUPER MARIO 64 (N64)

PB: 2:45:18 | 120 Star | World Record holder is at 2:39:xx (insane)

120 star is BRUTAL. U gotta collect every single star which means going through the whole game multiple times. The movement tech in this game is incredible - walljumps, bunnyhopping, sideflip combos. I spent like 3 months learning the route & I'm still finding optimizations. The crazy part is that world record speedrunners r like 6 MINUTES faster than me!!! That's insane but it motivates me 2 practice more.

FINAL FANTASY VII (PSX)

PB: 12:30:45 | Any% with Glitch Abuse

This run is CRAZY because u can use glitches 2 break the game wide open. The menu glitch that lets u duplicate items & the overflow glitch for materia r INSANE. I've only done like 10 full runs of this because it takes 12+ hours & requires perfect execution throughout. One bad fight & u waste hours of ur life lmao. But when u land a clean run??? BEST FEELING EVER.

STREET FIGHTER II (Arcade)

Tournament Mode: 47:32 | Character: Ryu

Fighting game speedruns r different because u gotta beat the AI on hard difficulty while doing it as fast as possible. Using Ryu's hadoken combos & perfect spacing, u can win most fights in like 45 seconds. The final boss (M. Bison) is the tough part - gotta be perfect or he punishes u hard.

⚡ ARCADE CABINET SHRINE ⚡

This is my PRIDE & JOY!!! I have 3 authentic arcade cabinets in my garage & I'm working on restoring a 4th. There's something about the FEEL of the hardware that u just can't replicate on emulators. The stick, the buttons, the arcade CRT monitor - it's all part of the experience!!!

🕹️ GALAGA CABINET (1981)

High Score: 847,920

This is the machine that STARTED IT ALL 4 me! This was my first big purchase & I saved up for like 8 months 2 afford it. I found it at a pawn shop in pretty rough condition but after cleaning & replacing the joystick & some buttons, it plays beautifully. The artwork on the side is iconic - love that retro Bandai style. I play this almost every day & I'm constantly trying 2 beat my high score.

🕹️ PAC-MAN CABINET (1980)

High Score: 458,320

The CLASSIC!!! This machine is from 1980 & still works like a dream. The maze patterns r so iconic that I can literally see them when I close my eyes lol. The cabinet has some cool wear & tear that adds 2 the authenticity - it's got stickers & scratches from like 20+ years of gameplay. Playing Pac-Man on original hardware is such a different experience than emulation.

⚠️ STREET FIGHTER II CABINET (1991) - UNDER RESTORATION

Status: 40% Complete

This one is currently in pieces in my garage lol. I got it from an estate sale 4 like $200 & it needed a LOT of work. The main motherboard works but the controls were basically non-functional. I've replaced the joystick, 4 of the 6 buttons, & I'm working on the marquee lighting. Once it's done, this is gonna b SO SICK. Street Fighter II is one of my all-time fave games & having an authentic cabinet 4 it would be incredible!

⚡ PIZZA RANKINGS ⚡

U might think I'm crazy 4 ranking pizza on a gaming site but HONESTLY??? Pizza is basically a gamer staple. U need fuel 4 those long speedrun practice sessions!!! I've tried pizza from tons of local places & I'm creating the ULTIMATE DEFINITIVE RANKING.

PIZZA TIP: Always get extra cheese!!! Seriously, the default cheese amount on most pizzas is like a crime against humanity. Extra cheese = better taste & better staying power 4 long gaming marathons.
